oh my god, look quickly gives to say that this is a steam engine.

Looking better, I would say that it is a camera differentiated.

Looks Like an Simplex E7.

Models from the era are listed on the film-tech dot com site. First made by International projection then Strong corp.

Agree on it being a Simplex E7, and the back half of the machine looks like a Peerless Magnarc Type F carbon arc lamp and below the E7 (the black box above the lower reel) looks like a RCA Photophone 1050 Sound Head.

Is that a stripped-down Simplex E7?

I think that's the same one that was in Cinema Paradiso, which movie illustrates why lots of these machines are in ...TOASTED... condition.
