Unterpremstaetten, Austriaaustriamicrosystems has expanded its low dropout regulator (LDO) portfolio with the AS1360, which requires 1.5-µA quiescent current and handles up to 20V input voltage.
The device is designed to extend the operating time of low power applications and allows the use of a small and less expensive 1-µF ceramic output capacitor.
With an operating input voltage up to 20V, the AS1360 LDO regulator family is available in a range of pre-programmed output voltages of 1.8, 2.5, 3.0, 3.3 or 5.0V. The output voltage itself is regulated with an accuracy of 0.5%, which meets the requirements of portable battery powered products.
The AS1360 can deliver up to 250mA of output current while consuming only 1.5µA of quiescent current. The device offers a dropout voltage of 400mV at 200mA and exceeds in dynamic behavior with excellent line and load regulation.
The AS1360 offers over-temperature and over-current protection. The AS1360 family is available in a 3-pin SOT23 package suitable for operating environments ranging from -40°C to +85°C.
