30V, N-channel devices improve switching performance, power efficiency

Phoenix, Ariz.—ON Semiconductor has introduced 24 new 30 volt (V), N-channel Trench MOSFETs in DPAK, SO-8FL, µ8FL, and SOIC-8 packages, featuring enhanced switching performance for synchronous buck converters in computing and game console applications.

The new series of MOSFETs use ON Semiconductor's Trench technology to deliver optimum on-state resistance [RDS(on)] and improved switching performance for synchronous DC-to-DC converters in PC, server, game console, VRM, and point-of-load applications. DPAK, SO-8FL, and SOIC-8 package solutions—which are a drop-in replacement for NTD48x, NTMFS48x, and NTMS48x series—and the new µ8FL 3.3 mm x 3.3 mm product achieve low RDS(on) in relation to packaging size.

ON Semiconductor's new MOSFETs feature optimized low gate charge and RDS(on) to improve switching performance and overall system efficiency in an advanced packaging portfolio. All devices are lead-free (Pb-free), Halogen free, and RoHs compliant.

The NTD49x series of 32 to 79 A devices include the NTD4904N, NTD4905N, NTD4906N, NTD4909N, NTD4910N and NTD4913N. Offered in a 6.7 mm x 10.4 mm DPAK package they are budgetary priced at $0.28-$0.50 unit in 10,000 unit quantities.

The NTMFS49x series of 35 to 166 A devices include the NTMFS4935N, NTMFS4936N, NTMFS4937N, NTMFS4939N, NTMFS4941N, NTMFS4943N, and NTMFS4945N. The NTMFS4933N will be launched by early 2010. Offered in a 5 mm x 6 mm SO8FL package they are budgetary priced at $0.26-$0.50 unit in 10,000 unit quantities.

The NTTFS49x series of 34 to 79 A devices include the NTTFS4932N, NTTFS4937N, NTTFS4939N, NTTFS4941N, NTTFS4943N, and NTTFS4945N. Offered in a 3.3 mm x 3.3 mm µ8FL package they are budgetary priced at $0.30-$0.60 per unit in 10,000 unit quantities.

The NTMS49x series of 12.5 to 17 A devices include the NTMS4920N, NTMS4935N, NTMS4937N and NTMS4939N. Offered in a 5 mm x 6 mm SOIC8 package they are budgetary priced at $0.30-$0.80 per unit in 10,000 unit quantities.
