Dallas—Expanding on the company's popular integrated SWIFT family of DC/DC converters, Texas Instruments Inc. (TI) introduced the TPS54160, a 65-V input, 1.5-A output step-down switcher with integrated FET that achieves energy savings in light-load efficiency. According to TI, the wide-input converter helps save up to 25 percent of board space compared to competitive wide-input voltage solutions and eases design in industrial and automotive applications.
