ALM-1912: High Gain GPS Low Noise Amplifier with Integrated FBAR Pre-Filter

Avago Technologies' ALM-1912 is the industry's first GPS front-end module that combines a low noise amplifier (LNA) with a pre-filter in a miniature 2.9 x 2 x 1.0 mm MCOB package. The LNA uses Avago Technologies' proprietary 0.25um GaAs Enhancement-mode pHEMT process to achieve high gain with very low noise figure and high linearity. The integrated pre-filter utilizes Avago's leading-edge and proprietary FBAR filtering technology for exceptional rejection at Cell/PCS-Band and WiFi/Bluetooth frequencies which is particularly critical for simultaneous GPS (S-GPS) operation in handset and other mobile devices. At the typical operating condition of 2.7V and 6mA, ALM-1912 delivers an exceptional performance of 1.62dB Noise Figure, 19.3dB Gain, +1.5dBm IIP3 (Input Third Order Intercept Point) and more than 50dBc of out of band rejection at Cell band, PCS band and WiFi/Bluetooth band frequencies.
