LONDON Altair Semiconductor Ltd. (Hod Hasharon, Israel), a developer of 4G semiconductors for handheld devices, has announced the availability of its LTE RF transceiver, the FourGee-6150.
The FourGee-6150 is an LTE-TDD RF transceiver which, in addition to LTE supports Altair's baseband processors for mobile WiMax and XGP, offering a broad 4G capability.
It operates in the 1.9-GHz to 2.7-GHz band and integrates VCO, PLL, PA driver and LNA and is optimized for use with Altair's FourGee baseband processor series for LTE, WiMax and XGP. The design is a single-conversion architecture implemented in CMOS and comes in a 4.4-mm by 2.9-mm WLCSP package.

Altair is also working on the FourGee-3100 LTE baseband processor, the FourGee-6200 multiband LTE-FDD MIMO transceiver for frequency bands in North America, Japan and Europe, and the data card for the purposes of testing, IOT and field trials, available to order in the fourth quarter of 2009.
