DBS and VSAT designers might be interested to see the NEC UPC3239TB medium power silicon amplifier. CEL reports that this amplifier delivers 25 dB of gain flat from 100MHz to 2.6 GHz, making it well suited for use as an IF amplifier in DBS LNB down converters. It is also a good fit for use in RF gain blocks and high-isolation buffer amplifier applications, because it is optimized for low distortion with good flatness and return loss. The device features input/output VSWR of less than 1.5:1.
