Sunnyvale, Calif.—Maxim Integrated Products has developed what it says is the industry's smallest, lowest pin-count video filter amplifier for standard-definition (SD) video connections from portable devices to TVs.
Packaged in a 1mm x 1mm, 4-bump UCSP, the MAX9519 device features Maxim's proprietary SmartSleep technology, which reduces current consumption to 1microamp in shutdown mode and eliminates the need for external shutdown circuitry. Applications include low-power, space-constrained systems such as cell phones, digital still/video cameras, and portable media players-that require SD video output to a TV.
