The company’s claim to fame is a fully integrated Active Clamp FLyback Controller. Their SZ1101 as a UHV startup LDO and a Digital control design with an adaptive active clamp driver.

I see more to come from this ten-year-old company that started out in RF. The future focus is on power management with improved performance, higher power, higher frequency, and a whole range of DC/DC products coming soon in the next few quarters with the ZqFET.

Their ZqFET technology is a switching technology power device and process developed by Silanna Semiconductor. These devices are 5v to 40V range and have very low gate charge and low parasitic capacitances that enable high efficiency, hard-switching DC/DC conversion products. The power devices are planar and enable integration of multiple power devices with logic devices for gate driver and controller blocks. This architecture is easily integrated into new designs. Silanna will be expanding families of Power Blocks like monolithic Power Stages and complete Point-of-Load (PoL) converters, DC/DCs, Buck and Boost converters soon over the next few quarters.
