Technological Misdirection?
Your question: "Do you think that this type of robot will effectively match the IOT approach and will it help to further spread this technology?"

Probably, but what to me is the more important question to ask is whether this kind of technology, including the direction "IoT" is headed will, in the medium to long run, benefit us or add unintended social side-effects that will cause us more problems than are solved by the technology.

We see this already happening in bioengineering and agriculture, where glyphosate, an herbicide dumped liberally into the enviroment, is causing a variety of chronic diseases. And GMOs, which have enormous potential, when released into the ecosphere, can genetically pollute already-optimized crop genetics, no less cause human health problems (despite misinformation from the suppliers).

In both electronics and ag cases, the underlying motivation for pushing these technologies is not that the world will be a better place because of them but because they offer a commercial opportunity. My main concern about IoT and Internet-attached "robotics" is that it increases the vulnerability of an already fragile, technology-dependent society. Turn off the electricity (with one well-placed neutron bomb) and according to studies, 90 % of the US population is dead within a year. Or shut down the Internet and none of this technology has any possible benefit.

Autonomous driving represents one of the most interesting fields of research in the electronics and automotive sectors. This interest is growing by means of projects like the “Roobopoli” which includes the design and testing of prototype autonomous cars having integrated microcontrollers.
The future of industry is represented by the massive utilization of IoT technology in realizing a more effective and reliable chain of production while maximizing the yield of industrial processes
The smart home is a new trend representing a concept that is quickly developing with an enormous electronic technology content
Autonomous driving is progressively becoming an important part of the future developments of e-cars making them more intelligent and safe. The aim is to increase the comfort of e-car users and to protect and make the driver aware in case of physiological issues while driving
The e-car is progressively evolving toward autonomous driving systems which can help the driver. In many cases this may help in dangerous situations like drowsiness or distress, being able to take control of the vehicle and to handle these kinds of situations.
