Seoul, South Korea—MagnaChip Semiconductor announced the launch of two CMOS image sensors for camera phones.
The MC521EA is a 1/4-in. optical format 2 megapixel (1600 x 1200) CMOS sensor with integrated image processing, one-time-programmable, non-volatile memory enabling module serialization and calibration, a MIPI (Mobile Industry Process Interface) port and GPIOs. The MC521EA also features an on-board ARM7TDMI core that can be programmed with different algorithms for auto-function control.
The MC511EA is a 1/5-in. optical format 1.3 megapixel (1280 x 1024) CMOS sensor that offers the same image processing and control functions as the MC521EA while enabling modules as small as 6 x 6 x 4 mm.
