San Jose, Calif. Micrel Inc. is offering a dual low dropout regulator in a
miniature 2.5mm x 2.5mm MLF package.
The MIC5264 LDO is designed to provide 150 mA on each independently controllable
output and comes with a range of fixed voltage options. The device features a 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply voltage. Each output has low
output noise (57 μV rms) and high power supply rejection ratio (60 dB at 1 kHz), along with excellent
transient response and low current consumption (75 μA quiescent current per LDO), making the MIC5264 a
multipurpose solution for a wide variety of portable power products
including RF and digital applications, said Ralf Muenster, Micrel's director of marketing, power products.
The device provides designers with a 30 percent size reduction from previous generation products, according to Muenster.
Applications include cell phones, PDAs and GPS receivers.
The MIC5264 is lead-free (RoHS compliant) and currently sampling. Pricing starts at 49 cents each in 1,000-piece quantities. Click here for the MIC5264 data sheet.
