Dual SPDT Analog Switch – ideal for portable applications

Texas Instruments announced the TS5A23157 low-power dual single pole double throw (SPDT) analog switch. Designed for operation between 1.65V to 5.5V Vcc, the device provides low power consumption and high-speed, while maintaining excellent signal integrity, making it ideal for applications such as analog signal routing, signal gating, and digital signal multiplexing/demultiplexing.

The device offers low power consumption (typical 1&#181A at 5.5V), low ON-state resistance (10 Ohm) and excellent channel-to-channel on-state resistance matching (Dr on ). These features minimize the signal distortion and make it suitable for audio, video and numerous other general purpose analog applications.

The TS5A23157 is capable of passing both analog and digital signals with amplitudes of up to V+ (peak) in either direction without clipping. Other features include Specified Break-Before-Make Switching preventing inadvertent connection of two signals sources, low charge injection (7 pC), and low total harmonic distortion (0.01%).

The TS5A23157 is offered in the space saving, low profile TSSOP (MSOP-10) package. The TS5A23157DGSR is currently available to sample. Budgetary pricing for the TS5A23157DGSR is set at $0.63 in quantities of 1,000.
