Fastest Low Noise Amplifier?

Milpitas, CA, December 9, 2003 — Intersil Corporation introduced six new low noise amplifiers. The six new parts are the latest additions to Intersil's rapidly expanding high speed operational amplifier portfolio.

The Elantec EL513x family includes the EL5132, a 2.8 GHz gain-bandwidth device with flat band noise at an industry-leading 0.9 nV/rt-Hz, and device-stable at gains of greater than or equal to 10. The EL5132 also features a 1/f corner frequency below 1 kHz and current noise of 4.9 pA/rt-Hz.

Other devices in the family include: the EL5130 and EL5131 are 1.1 GHz gain bandwidth parts with 1.8 nV/rt-Hz which operate off only 3.5 mA and are device-stable at gains of 5 or above; the EL5134 and EL5135 are 1.3 GHz gain-bandwidth devices with 1.9 nV/rt-Hz which operate off only 6.7 mA and are device-stable at gains of 5 or above.

All six parts are available now and prices given are for 1,000-unit volume. The EL5130, in an SO8 package, and EL5131, in a SOT23-5 package, are priced at $0.75 each. The EL5132 and EL5134, in SO8 packages, and the EL5133 and EL5135, in SOT23-5 packages, are priced at $1.05 each.
