MILPITAS, CA, October 21, 2003 ” Intersil Corporation a provider in the design and manufacture of high performance analog solutions, introduced four new current feedback amplifiers in SC-70 packages. The four new parts are the latest additions to Intersil's rapidly expanding high-speed operational amplifier portfolio.
The Elantec EL516X family includes the EL5167, featuring -3dB bandwidth of 1.4 GHz and 6000 volts per microsecond (V/us) slew rate and the EL5165, a -3dB bandwidth of 600 MHz with 4000 V/us slew rate. Also introduced: the EL5163, with 500 MHz bandwidth and 4000 V/us slew rate; and the EL5161, featuring 200 MHz bandwidth and 1700 V/us slew rate. All these new devices feature ultra-low supply current and superior AC performance, which provides the best bandwidth-to-power ratio in the industry.
The EL516X family of single current feedback amplifiers will enable many space and power constrained applications. Applications for these new products include battery-powered equipment such as hand-held, portable devices; video amplifiers; cable drivers; RGB amplifiers; test and instrumentation equipment; and current-to-voltage converters.
All four parts are available now. Prices are for 1,000-unit volumes. The EL5161 in a 5-pin SC70 package is $0.68 each. The EL5163 in a 5-pin C70 package is $1.13 each. The EL5165 in a 5-pin SC70 package is $1.23 each and the EL5167 in a 5-pin SC70 package is $1.29. These devices are also available in SOT23-5 packages.
