MILPITAS, CA, November 3, 2003 — Intersil Corporation a designer and manufacturer of high performance analog solutions, today introduced six new differential amplifiers designed to drive video and other analog signals. The six new parts are the latest additions to Intersil's rapidly-expanding high speed operational amplifier portfolio.
The Elantec EL537x family includes the EL5374, a 550 MHz bandwidth triple differential driver that consumes only 12.5 mA/channel and the EL5373, a fixed gain of 2 version of the EL5374 for double terminated line driving. The EL5375 is a triple differential receiver that operates off only 9mA/channel.
Intersil also introduces the EL5371, a 250 MHz, 8mA/channel triple differential driver and its fixed gain of 2 version, the EL5370. The corresponding receiver would be the EL5372, a 250 MHz bandwidth, 6mA/channel device.
The EL537x family of triple differential drivers and receivers are appropriate for driving video or high density communication channels over CAT-5 or other twisted pair cables.
All six parts are available now. Prices are for 1,000-unit volumes. The EL5370 in a 24-pin QSOP package is $2.65 each, the EL5371 in a 28-pin QSOP package is $2.65 each, and the EL5372 in a 24-pin QSOP package is $2.65 each. The EL5373 in a 24-pin QSOP is $3.36 each, the EL5374 in a 28-pin QSOP is $3.36 each, and the EL5375 in a 24-pin QSOP is $3.36 each.
