Flexible 400mV reference a direct hit for portable medical equipment

Milpitas, CA — June 28, 2004 — Linear Technology Corporation introduces the LT6650, the lowest voltage series reference available. The device features a built-in rail-to-rail output buffer amplifier and &plusmn1% guaranteed accuracy from -40°C to 85°C. The LT6650 is ideally suited for portable industrial and medical equipment, plus low power instrumentation.

Operating over a wide 1.4V to 18V supply range, the LT6650 consumes less than 6uA with supply levels up to 18V. Using external gain resistors, the output voltage can be adjusted from 400mV up to the positive supply rail using the on-chip rail-to-rail buffer amp. The device can be configured to operate in either shunt or series mode, and the output buffer is capable of sourcing or sinking up to 200μA.

Three temperature grades cover the commercial (0°C to 70°C), industrial (-40°C to 85°C) and automotive (-40C to 125C) ranges. All grades are in full production. Pricing starts at $1.25 each in 1,000-piece quantities.
