Farnborough, England – Touting high efficiency— 92.5 percent at full load—Advanced Power Conversion's H201 series DC/DC converter complies with the IEEE 802.3af standard to deliver 200 watts at a regulated 52.5 volts (nominal 48-V input) for Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) applications.
A member of the company's PowerStax family, the H201, in an industry standard half-brick (2.40-by-2.30-by-0.40 inches), has a comprehensive range of protection features. It includes circuitry for over-temperature, input under-voltage lockout and output over-current and over-voltage, and remote-sense and remote on/off. Input-to-output isolation is 2,250 VDC.
The converter is rated for operation over -40 to +85C. Calculated MTBF is 2 million hours (80% of full load, Tc =40C). It meets UL60950, EN60950 and CE mark requirements. The Powerstax H201 is priced starting at $89 each for production quantities of 100+ pieces. Delivery is from stock to approximately 8 weeks.
