San Jose, Calif.IDT (Integrated Device Technology Inc.) has started to sample the latest member of its High Definition (HD) PC audio codec family, the 92HD75B, which is the first audio codec designed and developed by the IDT Shanghai design center.
The 92HD75B low power, high fidelity device is manufactured in the IDT fabrication facility in Hillsboro, Oregon using 0.18 micron process technology to further reduce power consumption. The 92HD75B offers the industry increased design flexibility by achieving Windows Logo Program (WLP) compatibility in the smallest form factor currently available for a HD audio codec.
Similar to the existing members of the IDT PC audio codec family, the IDT device is optimized to help bring home-entertainment-level audio fidelity to enterprise desktop and notebook systems, while supporting mobile user capabilities such as advanced processing for voice over Internet protocol (VoIP).
As with all members of the IDT PC audio codec family, the 92HD75B also includes the proprietary IDT HD sound graphical user interface (GUI) that enables customers to provide end-users with maximum, yet easy-to-use, control of a PC audio system through complete audio software customization.
