CHARLOTTE, N.C., Aug. 9, 2011
CHARLOTTE, N.C. , Aug. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — US Customs & Border Protection (CBP) announced that testing for QX/WX transactions is complete, and Automated Broker Interface (ABI) filers can now start electronic filing of In-Bond information for goods imported via air mode of transportation. Integration Point Electronic Bonded Movement is one of the first solutions to become certified by CBP for QX/WX filing, and is now available for electronic filing and tracking of In-Bonds for air shipments.
The QX/WX program is similar to the QP/WP program already in effect for filing In-Bonds in other modes of transportation via ABI. While you still have the three basic entry types (IE, IT and T&E), with QX/WX, ABI filers can now fully automate the In-Bond process for air shipments.
Part of Integration Point ABI Software, QX/WX assists importers with every step of the bonded movement of air shipments — creation, arrival, tracking, deleting when necessary, and exporting In-Bond. For example, operators of US Foreign-Trade Zones can use QX/WX to bring goods from the airport to the zone without the delay of paper filing.
“We enjoyed participating as an early adopter and are happy to have been certified in QX/WX as soon as it became available with CBP,” said Tom Barnes , Integration Point CEO. “Our clients count on us to be prepared as key initiatives and regulations take effect.”
