NEW! Direct Tunneling
LabTech 2011.2 raises the bar on traditional remote manageability and troubleshooting by introducing direct tunneling capabilities. An IP tunnel from the technician Control Center console to any system under management as if you were sitting in front of the remote system. This enables LabTech technicians to streamline connectivity improving first call resolution rates, increase performance of troubleshooting utilities and enhance overall service quality.
NEW! Management Dashboards
- Multi-Vendor Antivirus Management Dashboard – Through a centralized interface, solutions providers can control multiple antivirus vendor products across all managed customers sites.
- Agent Deployment Dashboard – Improve agent operations with a global interface enabling you to instantly view deployment status, push failure messaging and systems without agents for coverage details.
- StorageCraft Backup Management Dashboard –New centralized dashboard, gives you real-time StorageCraft ShadowProtect stats at a glance, making it easier for you to view all backup job statuses and easily administer backup jobs across of all your ShadowProtect enabled systems.
Improved and Enhanced Reports
Based on customer feedback, LabTech Software has drastically improved the out-of-box reporting by adding new customer requested reports, consolidating multiple reports into one and enhancing overall look and feel for better visibility of KPIs. Some of the most requested reports include executive summaries, status reporting, configuration and inventory stats.
Optimized Quick Connect Function
Provide rapid assistance even if an agent is not present utilizing the LabTech client web portal Quick Connect feature. When help-desk assistance is needed, the end user can perform a one click operation instantly establishing a connection with a managed service provider's Control Center, without installing agents. The request is automatically queued to an MSP's LabTech Control Center where the request awaits a help-desk representative's assistance.
Hardware Inventory Improvements
LabTech expands hardware inventory using the system management BIOS (SMBIOS) to obtain detailed hardware types, capabilities, operational status, installation date, asset tag ID and other information about system components on a PC. This information can be used in various ways to help manage, support or purchase replacement components for client sites.
