While I was at the LoRA Alliance 10th All Members Open House in Vancouver, Canada this month, I learned about the many elements/solutions existing that make up the total infrastructure solution for LoRaWAN (See my EDN article, My journey with LoRaWAN begins at the LoRa Alliance, for more details on LoRaWAN). Watch this educational slideshow to see some of the really neat tech solutions for LoRaWAN.

With just a single gateway using LoRa Technology, LoRaWAN enables deep penetration capability in densely populated, crowded urban environments, while also providing the ability to connect to end-devices more than 10 miles away. This will allow netLiNK Reach to communicate using single-hop wireless communication with hundreds of thousands of IoT devices at distances that far surpass anything available on the market today. netLiNK Reach is a LoRaWAN-based intelligent 0-10VDC dimming control system for commercial site lighting and municipal street lighting. This product will debut on Comcast’s MachineQ network in the United States.
