Sunnyvale, Calif.Maxim Integrated Products has developed a low-jitter, dual-output clock generator that uses a low-noise VCO and proprietary PLL architecture to generate two ultra-low-jitter, 0.14psRMS (typ) clock outputs from a 25MHz crystal resonator.
The MAX3622 achieves -55dB PSNR (power-supply noise rejection) to minimize jitter degradation in noisy power-supply environments. Integrating LVPECL and LVCMOS buffers, the MAX3622 provides 125MHz LVCMOS and 156.25MHz LVPECL output frequencies simultaneously, thus reducing the number of crystal oscillators. The MAX3622 low-jitter, precision clock generator is well-suited for Ethernet switches/routers and other networking applications.
The MAX3622 is fully specified over the 0°C to +70°C commercial temperature range, and operates from 3.3V ±5%. It is available in a lead-free, 16-pin TSSOP package.
Pricing: Starts at $12.00 (1000-up, FOB USA).
Availability: An evaluation kit is available to speed designs.
