Thanks for the comments guys!  That definitely sounds like a great idea for another blog and a good app note as well.  I'll have to try and work on that.

Future applications note
With the questions you received from the college students, it sounds like a good application note for AD to generate. If the students took the time to come by and ask questions, I am sure others are out there looking for the same answers and the app note could help everyone in the end - user gets things done, AD provides clear and concise use information.
