Micro-mini TCXOs meet GPS requirements

Belvidere, Ill. — NDK (Nihon Dempa Kogyo Co., Ltd.) has announced the availability of its NT2520SA series of temperature compensated crystal oscillators (TCXOs) that measure 2.5 x 2.0 mm with a 0.8-mm height. Applications include GPS, in-car navigation, vehicle tracking, and emergency road support systems.

Exhibiting very tight frequency stability of ±0.5 ppm over the operating temperature range of -30° to +85°C makes this oscillator well-suited for GPS, PND, and cellular phone handset applications. It is available in frequencies ranging from 13- to 38.4-MHz and popular GPS frequencies of 13-, 16.368-, 16.369-, 16.8-, 19.2-,
24.5535-, 26-, 27.456-, and 38.4-MHz.

The NT2520SA operates on a low supply voltage range of +2.4 Vdc to 3.2 Vdc ±0.1 V while drawing 1.5 mA maximum with an output level of 0.8 V (P-P) minimum. Aging characteristics are ±1 ppm maximum per year. The TCXO comes in a lead-free packaging, which meets the requirements for reflow profiling using lead-free solder. The device is RoHS compliant.

Pricing: Approximately $1.65 each in quantities of 10,000.
Availability: Delivery is 12 weeks ARO.
