Miniature duplexers tailored for UMTS Band I handsets

Munich, Germany—Avago Technologies announced two ultra-small, WCDMA duplexers that employ FBAR (film bulk acoustic resonator) technology to deliver low transmit and receive insertion loss for UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) band 1 handsets, femtocells, and data terminals.

Avago's miniaturized WCDMA ACMD-7602/ACMD-7612 duplexers are designed to improve talk time and handset sensitivity. They are housed in a miniature 3.0 x 2.5 x 1.2 mm package.

The ACMD-7602/ACMD-7612 duplexers offer a typical 1.1 dB insertion loss in the Tx band to minimize current drain from the power amplifier, high receiver sensitivity and dynamic range support with typical Rx band insertion loss of 1.1 dB. The ACMD-7602/ACMD-7612 duplexers also deliver interference blocking that exceeds 53 dB, and over 43-dB of noise rejection.

Pricing: Begins at $0.80 in high volumes.
Availability: Now.
Datasheets: ACMD-7602 and ACMD-7612.
