Sunnyvale, Calif.Advanced Analogic Technologies Inc. (AnalogicTech) announced two charge pump products that are aimed at helping designers build smaller, more feature-rich mobile handsets.
The AAT2846 and AAT2856 combine backlight drivers, high-current flash drivers and two general purpose low-dropout (LDOs) linear regulators in a single 4×4 mm package. Designed to eliminate multiple ICs in portable applications, the AAT2846 and AAT2856 offer independent control for backlight and flash current drive via separate single-wire digital interfaces.
The AAT2846 uses a high current, tri-mode charge pump capable of driving up to six backlight LEDs at 30 mA each and two flash LEDs at up to a total of 600 mA. For applications that do not require flash, the AAT2856 offers a high current tri-mode charge pump designed to drive six backlight LEDs at up to 30 mA each.
The AAT2846 is qualified across the -40°C to +85°C temperature range and comes in a Pb-free, 28-lead, TQFN44 package.
Pricing: In 10,000-unit quantities, the AAT2846 and AAT2856 cost $1.42 and $1.14, respectively.
