ON Semiconductor expands automotive transceiver family

Phoenix, Ariz.—ON Semiconductor is offering a high-speed Controller Area Network (CAN) transceiver IC for automotive in-vehicle networking (IVN) applications.

The NCV7341 CAN transceiver provides the interface between a CAN protocol controller and the physical bus and can be used in both 12 V and 24 V systems.
It is fully compliant with the ISO 11898-5 standard for CAN physical layer transmission in automotive IVNs at rates up to 1 Mbit/s. A sleep mode and a low current stand-by mode (20 µA) with remote wake up via the bus provide engineers with flexibility in reducing power consumption. In addition, an integrated inhibit switch can be used to further reduce overall power consumption by disabling external voltage regulators.

Pricing: $1.53 per unit in quantities of 1000 or more.
Availability: Now.
