ON Semiconductor offers clock management devices in space-efficient, Pb-free QFN packages

Vélizy, France — ON Semiconductor has announced a new space-efficient, Pb-free QFN package for several of its highly-accurate clock management products. The 32-pin QFN package footprint measures only 5 x 5 mm, and uses only 31 % of the board space of earlier packages. This allows designers of sophisticated clock networks to use advanced clock management devices which require less board space, thereby leaving more flexibility in space-constrained designs. The MC100LVEP111 is a 1:10 Differential Clock Driver, with extremely low jitter (200 fs typical) and low skew (20 ps typical). The device accepts two differential or single-ended clock sources into an input multiplexer, and operates from a Vcc of +2.5 V or +3.3 V. MC100LVEP111MNRG is priced at $6.00 per unit in 1,000 unit quantities. The NBC12429A (25-400 MHz), NBC12430A (50-800 MHz), and NBC12439A (50-800 MHz) are Programmable PLL Synthesized Clock Generators, which deliver better jitter performance (20 ps typical) and operate over a wider temperature range (-40°C to +85°C) than competing products. Now, ON Semiconductor offers them in the smallest available package as well. NBC12429AMNR4G, NBC12430AMNR4G, and NBC12439AMNR4G are priced at $6.84 per unit in 1,000 unit quantities.
