Milpitas, Calif. Linear Technology Corp. says its 1.8-volt dual and quad operational amplifiers are the first available in a tiny DFN package.
In addition, the LT6001 and LT6002 precision op amps draw 13 microamps per amplifier. Input offset voltage is 500 microvolts maximum at 25°C with a maximum drift of 5 uV/°C over temperature. Inputs and outputs feature rail-to rail-operation.
This combination of supply voltage, current consumption and DC specifications in a dual flat no lead (DFN) package make these parts suited for handheld and battery-powered applications including portable medical and industrial instruments, says Erik Soule, general manager of Linear Technology's Signal Conditioning product group.
For even greater power savings, the dual LT6001 (3 x 3-mm package) also includes a shutdown pin, allowing current consumption to drop to 1.5 uA maximum when not in use, Soule said.
The LT6001 and LT6002 operational amplifiers are available now with prices starting from $1.25 and $2.00 each, respectively, in 1,000-piece quantities. Click here for the LT6001 and LT6002 data sheets.
