San Jose, Calif. – Micrel Semiconductor's MICRF008 RF receiver IC has been designed as a low-cost alternative to discrete super-regenerative receivers and one that eliminates the need for production tuning.
The Sweep-Mode receiver operates over the 300-MHz-to-440-MHz frequency range and is specified for a 4.8-kbit/second maximum data rate. The unit provides an RF capture range of 9 MHz.
In thousand-piece quantities, the MICRF008 in eight-pin small-outline integrated circuit packaging is priced at $1.29 each. Samples are from stock, and an evaluation board is available from the company.
