Santa Clara, Calif. Xceive Corp. has announced the availability of its “Breckenridge” reference design for small screen and transportable hybrid televisions, based on the company's XC5000 hybrid silicon tuner.
Xceive will demonstrate the industry's smallest high-definition television this week at the Computex tradeshow in Taipei. The XC5000 hybrid silicon tuner for the television market is integrated into a 7-inch, 16:9 television screen capable of receiving all 18 ATSC formats or NTSC signals via terrestrial or cable TV, in an ultra-small footprint. The dimensions of the high-definition television's main board are approximately 2.75 x 4.75 inches.
The XC5000 is a highly integrated silicon TV tuner specifically designed for flat panel televisions. This next-generation tuner offers state-of-the-art performance where both analog and digital reception is required, said Xceive. In addition, the XC5000 is said to be the only hybrid global TV tuner with an on-board DSP controller.
