Sunnyvale, Calif.Maxim Integrated Products has introduced the MAX2165 highly integrated, single-conversion tuner for DVB-H, mobile TV applications.
The MAX2165 tuner integrates all of the tuning functions along with an RF-tracking filter; low-noise amplifier; transmit-reject notch filter; and programmable baseband, lowpass channel-selection filters into a small, 5mm x 5mm, 28-pin TQFN. High integration in a small package makes the MAX2165 suitable for cell phones and other handheld devices.
The MAX2165 consumes 21-mW of power at 8% duty cycle, covers a 470-MHz to 780-MHz UHF-signal range, and operates from a single 2.85V supply. It is fully compliant with MBRAI and Nordig requirements, and is specified to operate over the -40°C to +85°C extended temperature range.
