Sunnyvale, Calif.—Maxim Integrated Products says its MAX4910 is the industry's first quad SPDT analog switch working from a single positive supply that can handle negative signals, thus reducing external component count while improving audio-signal quality.
The MAX4910 features integrated shunt resistors to ground. This design reduces audio click-and-pop sounds by depleting the capacitive charge that commonly builds up on the unconnected port of the switch to ground. The chip boasts a low-RDS output stage (370 milliohms) and low (0.05 percent) total harmonic distortion.
