Texas Instruments : Transceivers are designed for high-temperature applications

Two ceramic-packaged transceivers from Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) enable data communication in high-temperature applications. The devices feature no thermal shutdown, meeting the demanding requirements of oil exploration applications, such as downhole drilling. The SN65HVD11SJD 3.3-V single, half-duplex RS-485 transceiver and the SN65HVD233SJD 3.3-V CAN transceiver are the first two parts for an extended temperature range of -55C to 210C to be released from TI and are from a complete signal chain and power roadmap targeting applications operating in harsh environments. Availability, pricing and support

The SN65HVD11SJD and the SN65HVD233SJD are available today in an 8-pin, 6.67 mm x 9.6 mm ceramic DIP package and Known Good Die (KGD) from TI and its authorized distributors. The devices are priced at $40 each in 1000-piece quantities.
