VCO targets microwave radio apps

San Diego, Calif. — Z-Communications, Inc. has released a RoHS-compliant voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) in the L-band. The CLV1570B-LF is well suited for microwave radio applications that require superior 2nd harmonic suppression and ultra-low-phase noise performance.

The CLV1570B-LF operates from 1560-1580 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5-4.5 Vdc. This VCO features a typical phase noise of -108 dBc/Hz at 10KHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 25 MHz/V.

The CLV1570B-LF is designed to operate at 5 Vdc supply while drawing 24 mA (typical) over the temperature range of -40°to 85°C. This VCO features typical 2nd harmonic suppression of -25 dBc and comes in Z-Comm's industry standard MINI package measuring 0.50 x 0.50 x 0.13 inches. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements. The CLV1570B-LF is also suitable for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.

Pricing: $24.95 for quantities 5-49. For quantities above 49, call Z-COMM directly.
