Sunnyvale, Calif.—Maxim Integrated Products has introduced the MAX16046-MAX16049, 12-/8-channel, EEPROM-configurable ICs capable of voltage sequencing, monitoring, and margining.
Using nonvolatile EEPROM memory, the unique fault registers store system voltage and fault information the instant a critical fault occurs. Users will now be able to identify which channel failed, isolate the cause of board failures, and resolve problems before a critical system is deployed to the field.
The devices can sequence, reverse sequence, and margin as many as 12 power supplies simultaneously. The main applications of the MAX16046-MAX16049 are high-reliability systems such as storage, telecom, or networking equipment where a large number of voltage rails exist in the system.
The devices are offered in a small 56-pin, 8mm x 8mm TQFN package.
Availability: Samples are available immediately.
Datasheets: MAX16046 and MAX16047.
