Voltage reference delivers low-noise performance

Milpitas, Calif. — The ISL21007 voltage reference from Intersil delivers low-noise performance at 4 uVpp (0.1 Hz to 10 Hz) and low supply current at 150 uA (maximum over temperature). This voltage reference is part of Intersil's newly launched pinPOINT Precision Analog Product Line.

The ISL21007 voltage reference with an input voltage range from 2.7 V to 5.5 V is aimed at portable instrumentation applications where power and noise are a concern. Intersil says the ISL21007 sets a new standard for power savings among low-noise voltage references on the market. The company says this device consumes at least four times less supply current than any competitive low-noise voltage reference.

In addition, the ISL21007 delivers guaranteed initial accuracy of ±0.5 mV and less than 3 ppm/degrees C of temperature drift. This enables the ISL21007 to deliver precise measurements for data acquisition applications in noisy environments with severe temperature variations, said Intersil.

Pricing: The ISL21007 is available now in an 8-lead SOIC package and is priced at $4.04 for the 3 ppm/degree C (B-grade) version, $3.74 for the 5 ppm/degree C (C-grade) version, and $2.65 for the 10 ppm/degree C (D-grade) version. All pricing is in 1,000-unit quantities.
