Catering to applications where component height is restricted, Murata Power Solutions has added the VR110B080CA-1C to its VR110 Series of single inline packaged (SIP) voltage regulator modules.
The module, which is just 0.782in high, has a single 7-Bit DAC programmable output of 0.8375V dc to 1.6V dc. With a maximum output current of 80A and an input voltage of 12V dc, Murata claims a full load efficiency of 88% for the part.
Features of the VR110B080CA-1C include power good output, differential remote sense, remote enable, dynamic VID capability, and a tri-state output when disabled. Meanwhile, output over-current, short circuit protection, an output current level signal and an over-temperature indicator come as standard in the design.
Key features of the new module include power good output, differential remote sense, remote enable, dynamic VID capability, and a tri-state output when disabled. A comprehensive set of supervisory and self-protection features such as output over-current, short circuit protection, an output current level signal and an over-temperature indicator are also incorporated in the design.
The device, which is Intel VRM 11.0 compliant, has an overall length and width of 3.6in. x 0.75in. and operates within the 0C to +65C temperature range.
