San Jose, CA Atmel Corporation announced the second in a series of high-speed integrated analog-to-digital (A/D) converters and demultiplexer (DMUX) devices, with a new 10-bit A/D converter that features a clock frequency of 2 GSamples/s and an embedded 1:4 Low Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) demultiplexer for direct interface with standard field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).
The AT84AS004TP is fully-compatible with Atmel’s AT84AS003TP 10-bit 1.5 GSamples/s A/D converter and DMUX released earlier this year, providing identical form-factor, pin-out and functions. Housed in an EBGA317 package, the AT84AS004TP operates over commercial and industrial temperature ranges.
Key performance specifications include: (at 2GSamples/s in 1st Nyquist conditions)
- Effective Number Of Bits (ENOB): 7.8 bits
- Spurious free dynamic range (SFDR): -55 dBFs
- Siganl-to-noise ratio (SNR): 51dB
- Gain flatness ±0.2 dB from DC to 1.5 GHz (allowing use over the second Nyquist zone.)
The AT84AS004TP is priced at $595.00 unit price for a 1,000-piece quantity. Samples are available now; production quantities available in September 2005. Click here for product data sheet.
